Brian Pitts called Hyde Park home until he was 14. He started working as a production assistant during summers while attending Northwestern University where he studied film. While in college he worked on the film LUCAS by 20th Century Fox. He also worked for a few commercial production houses while helping out on weekends at the camera rental house Victor Duncan.
In 1989 he moved to LA and started working as an assistant cameraman on commercials mainly. This in time led to joining the union and working on films such as LIFE STINKS, RICOCHET and SNEAKERS. He then moved up to first assistant cameraman on movies such as EVE’S BAYOU, JAWBREAKER, and SOME GIRLS.
His operating career started in 2008 working on CSI, CANE, and BLACK-ISH.
Recently he has completed work for shows SUPER PUMPED, FIRST KILL, and several seasons of SWAT for CBS television.
