In addition to our routinely run Teen Animation Class, Chicago Filmmakers’ popular Filmmaking Summer Camp is back! Hands-on and collaborative, this all-encompassing camp gives budding filmmakers a crash-course in filmmaking that teaches a wide range of skills including creating shot-lists, scouting locations, setting up camera angles, using green screen, post-production editing, and sound design. We currently offer Filmmaking for Youth (ages 9-13) and Filmmaking for Teens (ages 13-17).
For ages 9 - 13, we will be offering two sessions: Monday - Friday, June 16 - June 27 & Monday-Friday, July 14 - July 25
For ages 13-17, we will be offering two sessions: Monday - Friday, June 30 - July 11 & Monday-Friday, July 28 - August 8
Registration for Summer 2025 is Now Open! Chicago Filmmakers invites budding filmmakers aged 9-17 to participate in our spectacular filmmaking summer camps taught by acclaimed filmmakers. In our intensive crash-courses on filmmaking, young cineasts will learn how to write, produce and direct their own short films.
