PRAIRIE STATE MUSEUMS PROJECT
The Prairie State Museums Project is grateful to the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting for its generous support of this project. To demonstrate community buy-in, the Project Team is working to fundraise $15,000 to fund the development of the Prairie State Museum’s Project video which will highlight the news coverage produced from this unique initiative in addition to:
Demonstrating to the Pulitzer Center the need for more collaborative journalism grants that feature organizations and individuals as partners in exploring arts and culture topics
Encouraging other states and jurisdictions to create their own museum and media projects
Amplifying the stories of the collaboration to aid in direct advocacy for arts and culture, and in particular, museums
The Project Team is grateful to Chicago Filmmakers for serving as the fiscal sponsor of this project. All donations will be collected by Chicago Filmmakers, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, allowing individuals to make tax deductible donations. All donations will be distributed to the Prairie State Museums Project Director to pay project expenses including video scripting, production, and editing in August and September 2020.
