Reeling Marketing Manager
Chicago Filmmakers is seeking a full-time seasonal Marketing Manager to oversee the planning and execution of marketing and communications for Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival, scheduled for September 18-28, 2025, with the goals of increasing brand awareness and community engagement, developing audience attendance, and increasing ticket, pass, and membership sales for the festival.

Marketing and Communications Intern
The Marketing and Communications Intern at Chicago Filmmakers works closely with the Marketing Manager to manage the organization's website and social media channels as we gear up for Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in marketing, familiarity with social media platforms, experience in content creation, some graphic design capabilities and enthusiasm for independent film. Finance Intern
The Finance Intern works closely with the Executive Director to assist with various aspects of bookkeeping such as financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, and financial analysis. This internship provides the opportunity to learn about financial budgeting specifically geared towards a not-for-profit organization. Familiarity with Quickbooks is required. Development Intern
The Development Intern works closely with the Executive Director to assist with various aspects of the of Grant Proposal process. This internship provides the opportunity to learn about grant proposal writing and reporting, grant funding research, data collection, and several other aspects of fundraising. Graphic Design Intern
The Graphic Design Intern works closely with the Program Manager and Director of Education to assist in creating graphics for various promotional campaigns for Chicago Filmmakers. The position involves designing posters for film screenings and festivals, as well as creating graphics for the Chicago Filmmakers website and social media pages. Ideal candidates are required to be familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Familiarity with design software such as Canva is a plus, but not required. Chicago Filmmakers is always open to considering qualified candidates for Board membership.
We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about film and video as media for personal and artistic expression, and who believe in the potential of film and video to have strong social and community impact. Chicago Filmmakers is particularly seeking Board members with interest in marketing and communications, experience in fundraising, and knowledge of the local independent film community. Previous Board experience is helpful but not necessary.
Board membership goes beyond traditional volunteering and into the highest level of visionary leadership for the organization, assuming legal and financial responsibilities while serving as a community ambassador for the mission. Serving as a Board member provides a unique opportunity to put your passion for a social cause into action by applying your experience and expertise to help advance an organization’s impact.
