Marketing and Communications Intern

The Marketing and Communications Intern at Chicago Filmmakers works closely with the Marketing Manager to manage the organization's website and social media channels, write email communications and press releases, produce marketing related assets as well as assist with audience development to support a variety of CF programs. Ideal candidate will have a strong interest in marketing, familiarity with social media platforms, some graphic design capabilities and enthusiasm for independent film. Finance Intern

The Finance Intern works closely with the Executive Director to assist with various aspects of bookkeeping such as financial reporting, budgeting, accounting, and financial analysis. This internship provides the opportunity to learn about financial budgeting specifically geared towards a not-for-profit organization. Familiarity with accounting software is required; Quickbooks is preferred. Ideal candidates will thrive in positions that require close attention to detail. Development Intern

The Development Intern works closely with the Executive Director to assist with various aspects of the of Grant Proposal process. This internship provides the opportunity to learn about grant proposal writing and reporting, grant funding research, data collection, and several other aspects of fundraising. Reeling Film Festival Intern

The Reeling Film Festival Intern works closely with the Program Coordinator and Director of Education in the planning and execution of the annual Reeling Film Festival. This position consists of outreach to volunteers, website management, festival promotion, and various admin tasks. Ideal candidates are self-starters with strong communication skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities at once. Workforce Training Intern

The Workforce Training Intern works closely with the Director of Education to support various aspects of Chicago Filmmakers’ Workforce Training Program. The position involves shopping for craft service for weekend classes, assisting with admin tasks and the planning of student networking events. The intern would also occasionally be asked to assist instructors on the weekends as well as opening and closing the building. Ideal candidates will be be personable and have strong communication skills in addition to a passion for brainstorming fun gathering events. We’re looking for individuals who are passionate about film and video as media for personal and artistic expression, and who believe in the potential of film and video to have strong social and community impact. Chicago Filmmakers is particularly seeking Board members with interest in marketing and communications, experience in fundraising, and knowledge of the local independent film community. Previous Board experience is helpful but not necessary.
 
Board membership goes beyond traditional volunteering and into the highest level of visionary leadership for the organization, assuming legal and financial responsibilities while serving as a community ambassador for the mission.
