Join Chicago Filmmakers for our first networking event of 2024!
Our networking event kicks off with an hour of structured networking where you’ll meet & mingle with fellow creatives and industry members. Directly following, join us for a laid-back conversation with co-directors Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson, fresh off the successful premiere of their feature film, GHOSTLIGHT, at Sundance 2024.
Tickets for the event are $5.00. Entry is FREE for Chicago Filmmakers members*.

Kelly O’Sullivan
Kelly O'Sullivan is a writer, director, and actor. Her first feature screenplay, SAINT FRANCES premiered at South by Southwest, where it won a Special Jury Recognition for "Breakthrough Voice" and the Audience Award for Narrative Feature. The film was released theatrically by Oscilloscope Laboratories in 2020. She was nominated for a Gotham Breakthrough Actor Award for her role in SAINT FRANCES and the Independent Spirit Cassavetes Award. Kelly was named one of Filmmaker Magazine's "25 New Faces of Independent Film" and was a member of Film at Lincoln Center's Artist Academy. Her feature directorial debut, GHOSTLIGHT, which she wrote and co-directed with Alex Thompson, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and will be released theatrically by IFC and Sapan Studios in 2024.
Alex Thompson
Alex Thompson is the producer and director of the award-winning SAINT FRANCES for which he was nominated for the Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director Award at the Gothams and the Cassavetes at the Independent Spirit Awards. His second feature ROUNDING premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, and his third feature GHOSTLIGHT, which he co-directed with Kelly O’Sullivan, premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and will be released by IFC Films this summer.
