MY MOTHER IS AN ARTIST tracks the multigenerational impact of one mother's incarceration and follows her journey to get justice, make art, and find joy in a city that has taken so much from her. This project shows her family’s fight to heal after two connected losses: Lajuana’s imprisonment and Prince’s murder, both at the hands of a system inaptly named "justice."
