A great screenplay is comprised of much more than just a collection of great scenes. Introducing characters with mounting internal conflicts or story plots with rising tensions and competing tactics all make for exciting and memorable scenes to write. In this one-day master class, students will be introduced to and thoroughly examine 25 writing techniques including Dramatic Irony, Start Late/Get Out Early, and Plot Reversals. Writers, both seasoned and new, will leave class with an enhanced knowledge for crafting engaging screenplays that will be sure to grab an audience’s full attention from one beat to the next.
