This course puts the skills that students learn in the Digital Filmmaking course into immediate action through the creation of advanced, narrative film projects. Students will work together as a team, filling specialized on-set roles, to create original content, while also receiving advanced lectures on topics such as directing actors, production logistics, visualizing shots and sequences, and more. Beginning in week one, students should have either a script when they walk into the room or a well developed idea for a short film. From there, they will go through each stage of the filmmaking from pre-production through principal photography. Films will be scheduled and shot outside of our Monday night class time, so students taking this course should have a somewhat flexible schedule and be prepared for additional hours.
