ABOUT US

Chicago Filmmakers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1973. We serve the Chicago filmmaking community by providing low-cost film classes and youth camps, workforce training, fiscal sponsorship, professional development, networking opportunities, regular screenings of independent films, and two annual film festivals: Reeling: The Chicago LGBTQ+ International Film Festival and The Onion City Experimental Film Festival.

ACCESSIBILITY

Chicago Filmmakers is physically accessible with a no-step entrance, an elevator to the upper level, wheelchair seating in the theater and wheelchair accessible restrooms. Films screened in-theatre will be shown with open captions and films screened online will include closed captions when available. Assistive listening devices are available at the box office. Check individual film pages for more information. For virtual classes, CF provides live closed captioning on zoom and will provide recordings for students, upon request.
