Butler, Halle

Halle Butler is a novelist and screenwriter whose work has been published in Hobart, Proximity Magazine, and redlightbulbs. Her novel, Jillian, was released in early 2015 and is available on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble. She recently co-wrote the film Crimes Against Humanity with Chicago writer/director Jerzy Rose. The film has screened at the Gene Siskel Film Center, Doc Films, and at film festivals around the country.

Lewis, Joseph R.

Joe received his BFA in Acting from Emerson College in Boston. His love of theatre fused with his love of movies, and in 2001 he began directing underground feature films. Upon graduating from university, he toured the country adapting and performing stories written by children. In 2009 he co-founded Elephant & Worm, an organization that produces educational arts projects that unite professional artists with elementary-aged students in close creative collaboration. He is also the co-founder of The Underground Multiplex, a community-arts organization based in Chicago that creates interactive movie events and locally produced movies, music, and web shows.

Spencer, Samantha Lee

Samantha Lee Spencer is a teacher, musician, writer, and filmmaker. She co-produced the Tribeca Film Festival Recognized and Gotham Award Nominated web series You’re So Talented, as well as composed music for the series with her group Whatever Spectrum. She has taught media, art and media studies in grammar and high schools around Chicago, including at Street Level Youth Media, Free Spirit Media, and ChiARTS High School. She performs here solo music throughout Chicago and is working on her debut album. She is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute and has her graduate degree in Art Education from Columbia College Chicago.
