“Family Night Out” Event with the Edgewater Chamber of Commerce

Join us at the Broadway Armory for an outdoor screening of family-friendly films by Chicago-area filmmakers. Films include the hot-air balloon-set sci-fi romance ALL GHOST WOMEN PLAY THE THEREMIN (Jerzy Rose, 2009, 13 min., USA); FANFARE FOR MARCHING BAND (Danièle Wilmouth, 2012, 16 min., USA), which follows the punk rock marching band Mucca Pazza on a vivid imaginary romp through Chicago; the inspiring MAE'S JOURNAL (Amir George, 2013, 12 min., USA) about local astronaut Mae Jemison; the supremely goofy IT DOESN’T MATTER (Lori Felker, 2012, 12 min., USA), a mock science kids’ show set at Fermilab; and selected episodes from a web series dealing with hot-button high school issues, featuring animated anthropomorphic fast food items in MCTUCKY FRIED HIGH (Robert Carnilius, 2015, various, USA).
