LUA BORGES

Lua Borges is a Brazilian filmmaker based in Chicago, IL. She received her Bachelors in Cinema Arts and Science at Columbia College Chicago, where she focused on directing, assistant directing and film theory. She acts in the industry as an Assistant Director, while also developing her own personal projects that explore analog and experimental practices. She also has founded Cinema-Luz, a film collective that focuses on finding spaces in Chicago for independent analog film distribution. Courses taught: Intro to the Film and TV Industry, Production Assistant Training, and Intro to the 2nd 2nd AD.
