In this introduction to the Adobe Premiere Pro CC editing platform, we'll take students from the very beginning of opening Premiere Pro CC and learning the various panel windows to editing clips together, adjusting audio, doing color correction, creating sequence presets, basic titling and animation work, keyboard shortcuts, exporting files, and more! Students will have the opportunity to create short PSAs which could air on CANTV. This class is good for students who have basic knowledge of editing aesthetics and want to learn to edit using Adobe Premiere Pro CC.
This course meets once a week for three hours over a five-week term. Students may sign up for 10 hours outside of class to practice during normal Chicago Filmmakers business hours (M-F, 10am-6pm). No previous editing experience is required for this class, but basic understanding of the aesthetics of editing is helpful. Basic computer literacy with MAC computers is necessary.
