Dyke Delicious Season 9 kicks off with an evening of shorts by South Asian, lesbian, feminist filmmaker Sonali Gulati. Most recently known for her outstanding documentary, I Am, which screened this year at Reeling, Sonali will be screening a collection of shorts that are sure to continue the conversation. Sonali will be joining us via Skype for some virtual Q&A.

Program to include:
24 Frames Per Day – A series of photographic studies on the nature of “home.” (2007, 7 min.)
Nalini By Day, Nancy By Night – The complicated impact of globalization is explored through call centers in India. (2005, 27 min.)
Barefeet – An Indian woman attempts to reveal a secret to her family. (2000, 7 min.)
Sum Total – Family pressures to marry inspire a poetic matrimonial advertisement. (1999, 5 min.)
Name I Call Myself – A woman traces her name in a search for identity. (2001, 5 min.)
Where Is There Room? – The story of mother and daughter blurs reality and fiction. (2002, 7 min.)
