Jack C. Newell is the writer/producer/director of award winning films that have screened across the United States and abroad, including the Montreal World Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner, and The Boston Film Festival. Close Quarters, his first feature length film can be seen on iTunes and Amazon VOD very soon. He is currently in post-production on his second feature length film, Open Tables that takes place in some of the best restaurants in the world as well as Paris, France. His first feature length documentary, How to Build a School in Haiti, is currently in production.
A graduate of Columbia College Chicago undergrad in film/video, he currently teaches film directing at Columbia College Chicago and is an Education Committee board member for the Chicago International Film Festival.
This bimonthly networking event provides a chance for filmmakers to meet and collaborate on projects. Are you a screenwriter looking for a producer? A director looking for a DP?
